Thresh

Thresh is a large town located above the Third Cataract of the great river on the southern continent, which was featured in the events of Shadow Games. When the Howler arrived in the region shortly after the Battle of Charm, he established a new, powerful river pirate kingdom nearby. Thresh fell into serious decline due to the resulting lack of trade. The Black Company however was able to defeat him largely with the support of Shapeshifter, a rival sorcerer of comparable or superior magnitude, during their trek south in Shadow Games. Presumably Thresh recovered economically and the pirate kingdom dissolved as the Howler left the region to participate in the Shadowmaster wars.
