The spike thieves were the four enterprising men from Oar who successfully stole the vastly powerful silver spike about one year after the Battle of the Barrowland. The group consisted of Old Man Fish, Smeds Stahl, Tully Stahl, and Timmy Locan. Their capture and possession of the artifact set in motion the events of The Silver Spike.
