Kragler was a platoon sergeant in the Black Company mentioned in Port of Shadows when his subordinate Kingpin fails to show up for cooking duty. The Lieutenant came looking for Kingpin at the Dark Horse tavern in Aloe, interrupting a game of tonk played by Croaker, Elmo, One-Eye, Goblin, Otto, Pawnbroker, and Corey. Although Kingpin was in Kragler's platoon, Elmo volunteered to find him and discipline him on Kraglers' behalf.[1]
Kragler is not mentioned again in the available Annals. But like all other brothers mentioned prior to the Battle of the Barrowland who were not among the only 10 Company survivors of that battle, he must be either deceased, missing, discharged, or possibly even a deserter by the end of The White Rose.
