Husky was a corporal in the Eternal Guard during the lifetime of Bomanz. He appeared in the "flashback" biographic narrative of Bomanz in The White Rose.

The White Rose[]

Corporal Husky answered to Monitor Besand, and was familiar with Bomanz the local antiquities digger. When Besand was replaced by a hated man only referred to as the Jackal, Husky presumably avoided the replacement Monitor, like the rest of the Guardsmen.

After Besand was assaulted by a would-be Resurrectionist assassin, Husky went to the scene of the attack, but found no evidence of the incident. The Resurrectionists had cleaned up the scene, removing the corpse but also stealing Besand's priceless Barrowland amulet.

Husky was almost certainly present alongside the rest of the Guardsmen when Besand and the trespasser Men fu were horribly killed by Barrowland ghosts within the lethal boundary. None of the Guard could intervene to rescue their former commander because the Jackal refused to give them amulets. Afterward, Husky agreed to Bomanz's idea of throwing dirt onto Besand's exposed body since they still could not safely retrieve the corpse.

During the Resurrectionist uprising, Corporal Husky was in the center of the combat. He rushed into the home of Bomanz and Jasmine, and attempted to kill Bomanz with a bloody sword, thinking he was an enemy. Bomanz killed him and at least five other Guardsmen with a word of power.
