The Festival of Lights is the one great gathering of the Strangler cult each year. Each band of Stranglers sends representatives to the Grove of Doom to perform their rites and raise new members. They strangle prisoners of war, both to honor Kina and as initiation for new members. It is a notoriously treacherous time, because a portion of the initiates are strangled.
