Darkness Knows will be the title of Book 4 of the upcoming Black Company saga, A Pitiless Rain.
Glen Cook revealed in a long-awaited update – an interview in April 2024 with Bob Byrne at Black Gate[1] – that A Pitiless Rain will be divided into 4 volumes. At the time of the interview, the first 3 volumes were finished, and Darkness Knows was halfway completed.
