"Bone Eaters: The Black Company On the Long Run" is the fifth of five intercalary short stories of the Black Company series written by Glen Cook. It was published in the 2015 anthology Operation Arcana edited by John Joseph Adams.
Chronologically, this short story and the preceding one, "Shaggy Dog Bridge", both take place at some point during the first 4 years of the 6-year gap between Shadows Linger and The White Rose.
